What is Holy Hostility?
Ho·ly/ˈhōlē/adjective
Being dedicated or consecrated to God
Hos·til·i·ty/häˈstilədē/noun
Hostile behavior; unfriendliness or opposition
-
Who?
All followers of Christ. Jesus said in Matthew 12:30 that either you are working with me or you are working against me. In fact, according to the word, if you aren’t with Him then you are an opp.
-
What?
Holy Hostility is a behavior. It’s a stance of the Christian walk that James 4:4 calls us to live out. Our dedication and consecration to God requires an unfriendly opposition to the world and its ways.
-
When?
EVERY. SINGLE. DAY!!!
-
Where?
Every where you go. Jesus said in Matthew 5:13-14 that we are the salt of the earth and the light of the world. Not the salt of the church and the light among lights. We are called to live it everywhere we go.
-
Why?
Because the narrative around our faith does not match the Bible. The example set by we who follow Christ must be as accurate to the scriptures as possible. When I read the scriptures we are not soft, passive, and compromising. We are strong, assertive, and dead to this world.
